But, now that's out the way let's address the post in hand. This is going to be another one of those 'empties' posts that pop up on basically everyone's blogs, BUT I feel that there's a lot of merit in them. This is mostly because, if you've used a product completely up, you should have a fairly good opinion of how you feel about it - too often do I use something once, proclaim my undying love for it, and then after a few more goes realise it's actually nothing special. So, these are all products that (good or bad) I've used until the bitter end and I'm going to tell you exactly what I thought about them.
From Left: Simple Kind to Eyes Make-up Remover, Soap & Glory Face Soap and Clarity Facial Wash, Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum, Nougat Nourishing Cream Bath, Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara.
- Simple Kind to Eyes Eye Make-up Remover: Now, given the amount of times the word 'eye' is mentioned in the product name, it's probably painfully obvious that this is a make-up remover specifically for eyes. I think I've mentioned before that I prefer to take off mascara and the like with a remover that's specifically tailored to eyes; I find them gentler than using a general face cleanser. As with all Simple products, this is completely fragrance free, which is fine by me. (I'm now rhyming. Fabulous.) It's also oil free, which meant it didn't leave any residue in my eyelids, again a plus. It's difficult to get 'excited' about make-up removers (mostly because I look a lot better with make-up on and slightly begrudge having to take it off) but this did the job it promised, and it did it well.
- Soap & Glory Face Soap and Clarity 3-in-1 Daily Detox Vitamin C Facial Wash with Superfruit Plum Skin Brightening Complex: (Well that's a mouthful.) I kind of have mixed feelings about this facial wash for numerous reasons. I really love the smell (as with most Soap & Glory products) and the little pink exfoliating beads in it, but I found it oddly drying on my skin. Given that my skin is combination and dryness isn't really an issue I suffer from, I was surprised that once I'd used this I found the skin on my face felt really tight. This was nothing moisturiser couldn't fix, but still, it put me off a bit. It's also on the expensive side for a face wash (it's £7.00 if you can't be bothered to click the link) but it has lasted me a really long time. I don't think I'd repurchase this, but then again I might. I can't commit to either decision - I'm fickle like that.
- Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum: I'm not going to harp on about this, because I mentioned it in a previous post. I love this stuff and I'm seriously considering buying the full size version. The only trouble is I have no income and therefore can't really justify it currently (or, you know, afford it). However, should my face start getting really dry during the colder months I know exactly what I'm going to turn to...
- Nougat Nourishing Cream Bath: I've had this product for years. Probably much longer than it's nice to keep bubble baths for, but it smells so divine I haven't had the heart to use it fully up. Nougat's Tuberose and Jasmine scent is easily my favourite scent in the whole world - I just love it. I'm currently considering getting this in the perfume form so I can smell like it the whole entire time.
- Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara False Lash Effect Mascara Superjet Black: Another Soap & Glory Product with a super long name (I promise I'm not sponsored by them). This is such a good mascara. It's super volumizing which is what I tend to go for, given that I have quite long lashes naturally. It's probably something that I'll keep going back to repurchase because it's not too expensive and I just generally really liked the formula and how it made my lashes look (most important thing, obviously.) However, I have a few other mascaras to get through first, so I probably won't be using this again for a while.
Sob.
Nougat? Sounds a little strange...
